I think some so-called chefs work on the principle that.......You can fool some of the people some of the time, and that is usually enough............

On dinners, drive ins, and dives last night I saw a pizza place that was selling a 'works pizza' for 150.00. Let's just say it would really have to be amazing to through down that kind of dough(haha).

I agree with you all about the extravaganze but how long does it take to rack that much up with a 5.00 coffee from Starbuck's.

I saw this show on the Travel Channel about the expensive meals we are talking about and there is a 1,000 dollar steak sandwich that I would like to try.

I forget everything in it but I believe they use that expensive Beef from Japan. (The name escapes me but I believe it starts with a "K")

It also has lobster and crushed truffles on it and a very expensive cheese. Just once I would like to try something expensive like that.

I cringe at paying more than $5 for a burger (with sides and a drink).

But, if you have $150 burning a hole in your pocket and want a gold plated burger (must be heck on the digestion), that's your business.

Nah....I'd rather pay $5 to the Clown Face and keep the remaining $145 in my wallet!! I did have a kobe beef steak in Osaka once...it cost about $175 for the dinner. That was money well-spent!!!!

Even if I could afford it, I would never spend that much money for a burger. It doesn't even look appetizing.

No. Nothing that goes in my mouth is worth that much cash.

We were watching the Food Network a few weeks back and they had a series on expensive restaurants. One of them featured a $1200 pizza, the size of what you'd normally order as a medium any place else.

It was priceless! They showed the owner/waiter standing at attention behind the table supervising some other guy cutting the pizza into pieces for the man or woman who wanted to be pampered, as in bite sized chunks. The girl making the commentary on it, took a bite, the camera zoomed in on her face, and you could see it lodged in her throat like she had to choke it down, lol. It was a fish egg (caviar) pizza with lobster pieces sprinkled on it. The expression on her face was worth $1200!

Haha did you see the $150.00 burger on Dinners, Drive-Ins, and Dives - I don't know how anyone could eat it let alone afford it.
