Hi, Paula welcome to Bellaonline.

My kidz and I just went to a crafts store last weekend and decided that painting ornaments, gingerbread houses, and other sculptures for Christmas would be another good idea to hold down the anxiety crazybefore the presents are to be open and to help pass the time while they are out on holiday break.

Now, if only I could get them to share in the idea of clean up. cry Seems like its only me who gets to indulge in that feature. thanks for the question and be sure to stop by sometime. It's almost time to plant for spring color. Bye and happy harvest.

Kim,

What a great idea! I often let my kids (years ago) and now my grandkids paint or otherwise make ornaments and give them as their personal presents. Speaking as a grandparent, I would far rather have something like that from the kids than anything they might just go out & buy.

Guess the "value" of presents varies with the thought and the giver. Something handmade is by far my preference. And handpainted things seem to always be welcome!

Thanks for contributing. I'll certainly stop by. Planting colorful things can be a great painting inspiration.
