Hello everyone,

Well, it looks like Gustav is going to become a hurricane and it seems unavoidable that the storm will hit somewhere on the Gulf Coast.

At this point, we don't know exactly where it will come ashore--such a vast distance from the edge of Florida all the way to Texas.

Are you changing your Labor Day plans? What kind of preparations are you making? What's going on where you are? Please share your thoughts and plans. We would love to hear from you.

One thing is certain, visitors and residents all along the gulf coast must watch this one, listen to the forecasts and act if asked to.

Everyone be wise and be safe.

As Gustav reaches Category 3, hotels in New Orleans continue to help their guests leave. Hotels will not be open during this storm.

Guests who checked in earlier in the week were told they might have to evacuate.

Everyone is watching closely to see where Gustav will head once it gets into the Gulf of Mexico.

You know, it's been so hard to decide what to do, for people visiting or living in areas that are on the outside edges of that cone of uncetainty for Hurricane Gustav. Do you go or do you stay?

Of course, those in some areas don't have to make the decision of whether to leave or not, because mandatory evacuations are in effect. Right now this is the case for parts of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.

Have you had to make this kind of decision? Have you been confronted with other storms?

We would love to hear from you.
