I know it probably changes from season to season, as you get bored with some birds and more fond of others. But at this very moment, if you looked in your back yard, which birds would you find special pleasure in watching?

Lisa,

Since I live in Southern California, I can say that the Anna's hummingbird is my favorite backyard bird. These little cuties don't migrate and are with us all year round They also make a very distinctive sound when they are feeding, so it's easy to know when to look out the window and watch them at the feeders.

I always love watching the hummingbirds but the one that gives me the most enjoyment and warm feelings is the redheaded woodpecker. I don't get to see him very often, every week or so.

Lisa...you're so right when you say our favorites change often...

Right now, I just love the Tufted Titmice. This is the first year I see them on a regular basis and I think they're so pretty. They've really taken to the Peanut Cage feeder and usually come 3-4 at a time.

I still love the loud and flashy Blue Jays too. They sure let you know when they want peanuts.
