I am reminded of a Seinfeld episode in which Kramer wanted to create a fragrance that reminded him of the ocean and was for Calvin Klein.

Have you ever smelled something that you would thought would make a good perfume or cologne. I am wearing a shirt that I wore in the pool and then let it dry in the sun. I smell chlorinated pool every once in awhile. It smells good but I don't know if I would have a cologne or a perfume from it.

How about you? Warm chocolate chip cookies? Eau de Mowed lawn? lol

Tell us your perfume ideas. Either wacky or serious.

the scent of pink mimosa fluffs that I used to smell as a child---all I remember is that is was a flowery juicy fruit-ish type of smell and I loved having doll tea parties under the trees with my aunt. I have not smelled that scent since I was a child--the mimosa trees around here do not have that fragrance. Plumeria kinda reminds me of it--like a fruity light floral.
(incidentally I think the best all around beach scent is Sand-n-Sable and Sunflowers has a watery note too.)

I do have a fragrance oil from Wal-Mart that is Sandalwood and Vanilla. Ok - time to get serious here. I need to put those together and make a combo. I like the way these two fragrances meld.

there used to be a Mall kiosk that combined up to four oils for you, it no longer exists but I still have a small bottle with a few drops of "White Raven" I created for myself out of Vanilla, Musk, Patchouli and Almond. That scent got me more than one job way back when I was doing bit parts as extras and infomercials! LOL!

"Garden Botanika" still does this.

I used to love going into their stores and "mixing" my own perfumes, massage oils, shampoos, etc.

Then they went to catalog and online sales only, and it wasn't wuite the same. I couldn't test the scents on the little strips 1st - just had to trust that my combos would work.

OK - now for my contribution to the game...

I love the smell of Honeysuckle...,maybe lighten it up a little bit with a citrus note, so it is not quite so sweet. That'd be about it. grin

How about Honeysuckle, Mango and Vanilla?

My friend made that with 1 drop of Honeysuckle, 2 drops of Mango and 3 drops Vanilla. It smells lucious on her.

I wouldn't know how to begin to describe it, but a friend of mine had a scent in her bedroom that I liked and was trying to figure out where it came from. There were no scented candles or any plugins or anything that was the source of the fragrance.

I asked her about it and she said she had nothing in her room for fragrance. I was baffled, until she said it was probably a combination of their scents. His cologne, her perfume etc. Turns out that has to be the answer.

I wear different perfumes and one day noticed a fragrance in my own room that I didn't out right recognize. I realized it must be the combination of my perfumes.
