That is awesome! I can totally see this as being a great business for her. When people can find a way to make money with something they love, it's almost always an amazing thing.

Everyone, Jilly! Truly, you have a community site, so there are really no limits.

For starters, all your MIL's pet blanket contacts, since you are helping her build that anyway.

And, anywhere you shop or hang out. Or might be interested in shopping or hanging out.

Just tell them what you site is, ask them to visit it and drop you an email if they think of something you should add. For instance, you're doing yoga/tai chi stuff now, ask about teachers/classes recommendations.

Maybe you want to do a local dining review, too--ask about their faves.

Sporting goods stores, bookstores, community centers, the library, any stores that have community bulletin boards, the local colleges, etc.

Oh, and you might make up little stickers, window clings or magnets (vista does magnets, almost any printer can make sitckers or clings) that say "Read about us on CrestlineLiving.com" for the places you've reviewed! And, a banner/link they can put on their website!

Good news! The dog bakery just got in the first batch of pet blankets and sold one of the five already. The first day they were displayed. We are happyyyyyy smile

The dog bakery is now wondering if MIL can do custom orders with names embroidered on them.

I was inspired by this conversation and the doggie blankets--see this week's article on Pet Businesses

If she does custom orders with names, they'd go for more money! And, if she doesn't do embroidery or have one of those machines, she could maybe do them in fabric paint.

She's going to go for the names with a special fee on them.

My friend and I are working on getting her website up and running. smile

And thank you for the list of places to hang my card, so to speak. smile

Welcome, and let us know when her site is up & running.

Hey, we can use it as an example in the forum topic on pet businesses--if she didn't mind.

And, maybe in a few months, we can do a featured article? Just something to think about.

Hey, my business cards came in today! And i also went to the pet bakery and saw that another of my MIL's blankets sold. smile

So i gave her some of my cards for Crestline Living and took some pictures of the blankets. I also gave some cards to my friend the realtor and we are going to have a lunch and talk about some joint ideas.

I am looking for a place to make custom clings and Kryssie is making me a logo. I hired another friend to make me some blogs for CL. So things are in motion.
