Hi all
Last night I watched 'Talking Heads' an Australian documentary type program. It featured Gabi Hollows, the widow of Fred Hollows who did so many eye operations in underprivileged and indigineous cultures. He (and his fellow doctors/nurses) has been lauded (as he should have been) as restoring the gift of sight to thousands of people who would otherwise not have seen.

My question: Why hasnt restoring of sight caused the same kind of furore as the restoration of hearing?
