I just heard that Women's Murder club was cancelled. I loved this show. Does anyone know of a place we could register a complaint about this and maybe sign a petition to save it?

I sort of enjoyed this one. Perhaps if it had more closely matched the books it was supposed to be based on...

I read some of the books after I saw the series and liked it. I read them out of order and was kind of shocked when Jill was killed off.

I did like the show tho and I've enjoyed reading the books since.

I think the channels have done a bit of a flip-flop. Many of the intriguing scripted shows are popping up on cable channels while the broadcast networks are still giving up a lot of their new time slots to reality TV. I watch a lot of TV, but there are only about five shows on the Big Three that I watch regularly. All my other viewing comes from cable or older shows on DVD or streaming online that I missed in their first airing.

I agree about the best shows being on cable. In the summer I like Burn Notice and the Closer, which are both coming back on cable. I never got into Grey's Anatomy either or even Desperate Housewives.

I liked Women's Murder club too. I started reading the books after the show came out and liked them but I really liked the characters on the TV show.

I don't think they give good shows enough time to develop an audience anymore.

Don't get me started on that rant! One of my favorite shows, Joan of Arcadia, was canceled despite respectable ratings. These days, if a show doesn't have blockbuster through-the-roof ratings right away, then it doesn't stand a chance.
