A few months ago I "ripped" my remaining albums into my computer as WAV files before selling them off. I'm just now using software to split those WAV files into MP3 individual files. I'm working on my Beatles albums right now.

They're really good! I forget that sometimes smile

The Beatles changed music. Almost everything that was released in pop music after about 1966 owes something to their influence, directly or indirectly.

Speaking of the Beatles Albums, I found out that my original Seargent Peppers Album is worth $600 if it were in mint condition (which it isn't). That of course is based on one website that I checked out. I was thinking of taking it into a consignment shop and seeing if I could sell it, but decided I would hold onto it and let it go up in value another 20 years or more. Who knows. So don't throw away those old Beatles albums. They are gold. P.S. My 20-year-old didn't even know what an "album" was. Don't I feel old.

Well, I had that album as well as several others of that vintage. I think they sold for $2 or $3 at the most smile

I've got a few from the era that I apdopted from my parents who no longer have the proper appreciation for them. None of them are mint, though. Sigh.

The Beatles started the British Invasion and there was no looking back. I've got the "Something New" lp from the 60's and wouldn't sell it, too much sentiment involved. George was my favorite.

Check out the latest article on the British Television site - it's about British Music shows. The 1960s show Ready Steady Go had early clips of the Beatles and one episode has a lovely interview with George which you can see on YouTube - he was handsome, sweet and witty RIP music article
