what about water in a mister bottle?

I make sure to put some nice thick hand lotion on my hands before removing and folding things from the dryer. I don't get shocked that way. smile

How big are the blue anti-static dryer balls, Lisa? Tennis ball size, ping pong ball or golf ball size? I read one of the consumer reviews that said that you needed more than two. I was just thinking if they are anywhere near tennis ball size that will take up a lot of space.

They're a bit smaller than tennis ball sized, but really they don't take up any space at all. I mean, your clothes go in "flat" and damp and then fluff up over time anyway, so there is always extra air in the dryer for them to dry properly. Right? Or are you somehow filling the dryer completely full of damp clothes?

True. I was just wondering how many it would take to get the job done and how large they were.

They actually say in reviews to use six but even so I don't think of that as taking up space in a dryer. It's like the size of six more socks smile I only use four and they're doing well!

Lisa, did you ever try the vinegar trick?

A friend of mine uses vinegar and also a little essential oil.

I use eco Select unscented dryer sheets which work just fine for me. I have a friend who is allergic to all commercial products and some natural environmental proponents as well. His worst nightmare is walking past a Bath and Bodyworks store in the mall!

Here is my problem with static. Every time I get out of my car I get zapped! In my mind I have invented some sort of natural anti-static saturated material that is manufactured into a slip cover for car seats.

Oh Shay I am completely with you there!! I get zapped by EVERYTHING. My car electrocutes me all winter long. But I found it was 100% tied to what I wore. A specific jacket of mine would ALWAYS get me zapped but if I changed to another jacket I was safe. I just wore a shawl (a nylon one I think) all day yesterday and I was zapped constantly. I changed out - I'm fine.

So I really don't think it's the car seats. Look into the jacket you're wearing or the clothes. That is probably the problem smile

Julie - I really don't want to add vinegar to my clothes. I hate the smell smile
