Besides the selection of Kosher for Passover foods, how is your local area shopping in regards to having Kosher foods?
As for meats, my parents order from a Kosher butcher in Philly - he comes to the house with our order, every few months. Very expensive!
I have moved an hour away from the city - there is absolutely no Kosher butcher! The further away from cities, the less or no Jews.
The local supermarkets here are okay with other Kosher items; for a really vast supply of Kosher foods, my parents go into a Superfresh in Philly - it is only about 25 mins away.
I am not Kosher at my apartment, but my parents are and will only buy those items. For Chinese, takeout, etc, we just use the third set of dishes - for "traf" (spelling??)
How are the supermarkets/butchers in your area?
