I have lip glosses all over the house - by the sofa, at my desk, by the bed, in my car, in my purse, etc. I put them on all the time.

My lips get really dry here - if I don't have a gloss on and I laugh, my lips can split smile

I am totally the same way. I have a million lip balms and glosses. I have balms by my bedside, my computer, the loveseat where I watch TV, by the treadmill, in the car glove box and in my purse. smile It's funny how many different kinds of balms and gloss I use - and pretty much every day! smile

Mostly I seem to use ChapStick and mostly cherry flavor.

Unfortunately my boyfriend doesn't like the feel of lip gloss on lips so he'll make a face if he kisses me while I have a fresh coat on smile

My favorite lip gloss is Prescriptives brand. It glides on easily, is semi-sheer and stay on pretty good.

Rebekah, I love Prescriptives lipstick - have not tried their glosses. Now I will have to go find some....lalalala... I love an excuse to try new lipgloss!

What colors do you like?

LIsa, that is funny about Bob. Dan is the same way. He will turn his head if I wear lipstick or lipgloss. But he himself wears a lot of lip balm (Vaseline in a tube, actually). So I thin it's the color he objects to, more than the feel of lip goo.

Oh I was misnaming it I think, I don't mean gloss, I mean balm. The chapsticky things, not an actual color. Bob never wears anything on his lips and doesn't like the feel of it on mine. But if I don't wear it, my lips literally split so I don't really have a choice smile

Well winter will be over soon and then I can ease up on how much I use it smile

Lisa, that's good that you wear balm - it will keep your lips younger looking. Besides keeping them from splitting. Ow. I hate it when my lips split - it's incredibly painful.

In the summertime, I would recommend a lip balm with SPF in it (15 and up). I am really all about that - I spend so much time outside that burned, peeling lips become a problem.

hey - between your split lips and my burned lips, I am flashbacking to Viggo Mortensen in Hildago...

Anyway, a good SPF lip balm is like moisturizer for your lips. It's very sensitive skin. I am pretty sure Chapstick has an SPF brand - maybe even in cherry (yum). smile

On one hand I am very much in favor of sun protection. On the other hand I'm really never out in the sun. I am very careful about always being in the shade, always wearing a hat, and I rarely go out as it is. Even today in April when I went out I put up the sun umbrella and stayed under it. So I don't tend to worry about SPF since for me it would be a waste smile

I'm a freelance makeup artist for MAC, so of course I have to go with them! I have more lipglosses than I know what to do with. I also love their lip lacquers because they have more coverage.
