Great, Moe. Thanks for sharing! I love the instructional video with Pancho Sanchez. I never thought I would want to learn the congas, but his video made it look fun!

Anyone notice the clave rhythm he played at 3:30? Check out my article, Clave: The Key to Salsa for more information about this rhythm - it is the "key" to many Latin music styles, including salsa.

Check out another instructional video from Poncho Sanchez on the timbales, then read this week's article on the timbales from the Latin Music Site. The article includes a link to a website that allows you to listen to the different instruments and rhythms in salsa one at a time and then altogether. Pretty cool - be sure to check it out!
