I'm totally addicted to Serenity. I have it PVRd and have watched it three times already. I saw the firefly series at future shop for $19.99 and have to go back and get it but I'm waiting to make sure it doesn't come on tv.

I'm sure Jill will chime in here soon, she is completely a brown coat smile

I enjoyed the series very much! It's a shame it didn't keep going.

Me, me me me me me! smile

I even met Nathan Fillion at a Firefly con. I gave him some impossible to get Xbox items (from when DH worked at Xbox) and he took my hand and kissed my cheek. I pretty much melted into the ground at that point.

I met many of the other actors there as well - and they are amazing - but Nathan is my Captain. He's up there with Harrison Ford to me. There IS no higher praise. smile

Firefly being canceled is absolutely unreal. This show was perfect, right out of the gate. Most shows, even my beloved ST Next Gen took a few years to find their feet. Please don't get me started! lol

Oh you are so lucky!!!

I love, love, love this series. Everytime they would run a marathon on sci-fi channel, I was glued to the tv. So of course we went to see the movie.

Then hubby bough me the complete series and movie both for my birthday a couple of years ago. (I guess about as soon as the movie came out on dvd).

I always loved the wordplay whenever Wash was involved - he was so funny!

I love Wash! And jayne. And kaylee. Okay, everyone on the show. It was Joss Whedon's best work.

I assume everyone has found the easter egg on the series DVD collection? That's what I think about when I think of Jayne's hat.

Adam Bladwin, in the orange hat, wearing a shirt with Serenity on on it, singing The Hero of Canton to the camera. I laugh myself silly every time I see it.

OOH! ME ME ME!!!

I will SOMEDAY have a Firefly/Serenity costuming site up WHEN my husband (who is a web designer) gets off his butt and DESIGNS it! All the content is ready to go, but I have no pretty site to put it on!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the series and film. We went to see the film in costume the first time (Mal and Inara.) We are geeks!

I would LOVE to go to a con and meet ... well ... anyone! They are all my favorites, I love them all in different ways!

YES, Myra, i LOVE that one!

Do you realize how large that man is in person???? I hugged him at one point (he was giving out hugs) and oh man I realized what a small woman I am. He was sitting with a bunch of us in a bar in Burbank, talking about how he loves Jayne.

As he left we all sang the Hero of Canton to him. I am sure he gets that all the time but I hope it never gets old. smile

If you have a Firefly costume site, please let me know so I can read everything you have on it.

Well, don't hold your breath. This site has been promised to me for a year ... I have now had to tell him if he doesn't work on it he can't attend Game Night anymore ...

Better idea, Lynette. Hide all the "Whedonverse" DVD collections and only watch them when he isn't home. Tell M, "No site, no Joss."

I don't know if he's as crazed as we are, but if he's even close, that will HURT!

Which reminds me... I was wondering how many of the BellaOnline Browncoats are also fans of Joss' other shows. Are you guys also BtVS and/or Angel fans?

Oh, that's a GREAT idea! He just got Buffy Season 8 comic book from the library. I should tell him he can't read it until he works on the site. :-)

I am a browncoat! My husband once dressed up as Jayne for Halloween. Also, I made Blue Sun t-shirts for him and my father. DH keeps his for special occasions. It's awesome, because only a few people get it, but once they do it's this giddy, "ohfireflyIlovefireflysomuchwashismyfavoritecharacterIloveJossWhedon!"-fest.

DH and I watched Firefly from the start on TV because we are big fans of Whedon's other work. I also collect the comic books he has written. He's done an X-Men series which is excellent, by the way. He has also put out another Firefly comic book series.

I distinctly remember sitting one day and watching a Firefly episode and thinking to myself, "this is the best TV show I've ever seen."

It was canceled the next week.

Hey browncoats - I have a suggestion for all you guys and gals missing the heck out of Firefly. Go out and buy the graphic novel Serenity:Those Left Behind and comic book one of a brand new three part series simply entitled Serenity. Also, I highly suggest the Buffy graphic novels Buffy Season 8 Volume One (this is also an ongoing comic series), Tales of the Vampires, Tales of the Slayers and Fray (set in the future with a slayer called Fray) Sweet! All written by Joss with some incredible artwork and a must have for fans.

Oh Yes - Both!

And I was totally psyched when I heard Whedon was going to be doing the "Wonder Woman" movie (which now seems to be nonexistent - bummer!)

With his penchant for re-using actors (like Nathan Fillion as Caleb in "Buffy"), I had totally nailed either Morena Baccarin or Eliza Dushku as Diana.

Michelle - I think he was going to have Morena cast as Wonder Woman.

I just read Buffy Season 8 Volume 1. I'm so confused. I get what's going on, but it's so all over the place that I'm just lost. I can't wait until the next volume comes out. I suppose I could get each one individually, but I really liked reading the whole volume.

We also have the Firefly comics. :-)

Oh - DH started working on my website this weekend! But the wrong one - the one for my freelance projects, not the costuming one! We'll get there eventually - he's on the right track!
