Hi Ogo,

Welcome to BellaOnline! I hope the training went well - now the real fun begins!

I am a long time geek who has had many computer related careers from technical support, management, web design, networking, the list goes on! Currently, I am a self-employed and will pretty much do anything technical for a buck grin but focus mainly on IT project management and web design.

I look forward to reading your articles and advice computer careers.

Hi Ogo,
I've been looking for a place for women to hash around their internet marketing experiences, etc. so I will chime in here and say Hi.

Briefly, I am a professional SEO consultant -- that's search engine optimization for those that aren't aware.

I also am very involved in building up the affiliate marketing aspect of my business.

Am in the process right now of completing the rough draft of my SEO tutorial geared to "newbies". I have a real soft spot in my heart for the brand new internet marketer. I know how frustrating it can be getting started ... been there, done that! lol

Anyway, that's a little about me. What is your background?

Awww, thanks for popping in to say hi, guys! That's really sweet.

Alison, I'll give you a tinkle when my PC starts to act crazy (like it does every once in a while). Claudia, I will be checking out your SEO tips ASAP.

Nicola Jane, you certainly are a very well read lady! As for career choice, I always tell people to go for what they love to do the most, the pastimes that really float their boat. And if you're one of those multi talented people who want to do many things, that's fine too. Just figure out which you'd rather do first and do the rest later.

Warm regards,
Ogo

Great! How old are the precious little ladies?

My Easter was fab. Spent it the traditional way - with church and family. The way the new year's speeding by is not so fab though!

Hi again Claudia,

Sorry I missed your question.

I have a background in computers that's both academic and hands on. Please CLICK HERE to read my full bio on the computer careers site.

Although I originally trained as a programmer, my current computer career is multi faceted! I am the founder and manager of the career website creativityandsense.com

I also offer specialist business consultancy services (e.g. helping small businesses set up automated profit centres), corporate training and copy writing.

Perhaps we can work together in the future? I certainly have lots more to learn about SEO!

Warm regards,
Ogo

Welcome to Bella, Ogo.
I'm one of the movie reviewers.

I do other web writing as well. I submit articles to DailyWritingTips.com and I have a site aimed at parents who want to make sure their children are able to read and write competently.

Now that I've completed training with Bella, I'm looking forward to learning about the process of producing and marketing ebooks. I'll be watching your site.

Thanks, you guys.

Brandii, I just checked out your site and it looks yummy.

M.J, I read your article on The Piano. I saw the movie years ago and still cringe when I remember the character's finger being chopped off! Have you heard good things about the movie, '27 dresses'? I enjoy rom-coms too and I'm thinking of seeing 27.

I think I'm liking it here already, Robin!

Hi Ogo, Welcome.

Today, computers are used in almost every aspect of our lives: in car engines, microwave ovens, video games, watches, telephones, desktops at home and work, mainframe computers in government and industry, and supercomputers expanding the frontiers of science and technology. The computer industry is one of the fastest growing segments of our economy and that growth promises to continue well into the next century.

To maintain a competitive edge, industry and commerce must continue to make creative scientific and engineering advances as well as produce high quality products. More than ever, there is a demand for a prepared work force with the scientific and technical training necessary to perform effectively on the job. Now is the time to plan your future in computing.
