Thanks Moss, they are good habits to live by!

Rosie, I think you are doing pretty well with 8 out of 10! I try to maintain those habits, but I have my moments, especially when there is chocolate involved. But I'm working on it!

I loved your list, Moss. Very simple and to the point. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with all the dos and don't of being healthy and feel like I will never really "get there." However, I do many of the things on your list, at least most of the time! So that, I can manage.

Those are all wonderful tips! I of course definitely agree with the cutting out of sugars and processed foods. We get far too much sugar in the normal daily diet! They add sugar to peanut butter AND to jelly! What kind of a world do we live in ...

Managing stress is probably the hardest item on the list ... you can control the fiber you eat smile

I think the one area I need to try to find a solution to is the good quality vitamin one. Right now I take chewable Centrum I think it is - which is very good, but it only has "base levels" of vitamins. However, I have all sorts of trouble swallowing hard pills. Does anybody know of a chewable that is higher quality than the Centrum? It took me long enough to find these ... I take the Centrum plus 2 chewable fiber pills each morning.

Have you ever read the book Ultrametabolism? He talks about all the hidden sugars in foods and that it's a national epidemic. Many people don't even know that things like high fructose corn syrup is really just sugar too.

Since sugar is addicting, I guess I can see why they put it in there!

Right and in some products you'll have ingredient #1 as sugar - and then ingredient #2 as corn syrup!! We live in a very sad world when these things pass as food items. It still just slays me that a very healthy meal for kids of good bread, peanut butter and jelly has now morphed into white processed bread, sugar-filled peanut butter and sugar-filled jelly. Whyyyyyy?

I think it's to get kids hooked on sugar so they want more of the product! Well meaning moms think the food is healthy. Like yogurt. Most normal yogurts are full of sugar, unless you get the kind for babies or get plain and add things to it yourself.
