I read of a medieval doctor, who disagreed with an eastern doctor, who had made a patient better, so he got the patient and cut his skull open and wondered why he died. probably thought it was Gods will!

Its called Heliotrope, by its proper nmae. The nick name is cherry pie, because of its smell!

It does smell lovely, but gets abit ragged looking after a while. My FAVORITE smell is Mignonette and Night stock, which only smells at night, hence its name. They are like being in heaven. I don't have enough sniff when they are in flower! LOL

Have you smelled Honeysuckle, Nicola? Honeysuckle, Moonflowers, and Lavender are my favorite flower scents. smile

honey suckle is beautiful. I had completly forgotten that! Thanks for reminding me! I love Lavender too, have you seen pink lavender? they do a white one called Alba too! French lavender is lovely too. I have never heard of moon flowers. what are they like?

I also love roses, clematis, peonies and Jasmine.

My favorite is lilac. "I don't have enough sniff" - my sentiment exactly! It's one of those fragrances that make me sad to exhale!
