Hey everybody,
I breed my Betas and Goldfish, and then take the tiny fry to two "rearing ponds" outside, because these fish need infusoria.

It would very much streamline my whole procedure if I could have two tanks instead of ponds (parents gettin on me about them  ) It doesn't matter much to me how the tanks look, if thats the case, but Im looking for a way to raise Betas and Goldies inside a tank filled with infusoria, whether that requires an algea buildup or not....

I tried crumbled egg yolk with (at best) mixed results.

Edit: It would also be nice to get an overview of what infusoria really is too <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Infisoria is simply water that's full of singlecelled and tiny multicellular organisms. like paramecia, euglena, rotifers, etc.

PLace a mason jar with a bit of lettuce, in a warm and sunny spot. It will look cloudy after a few days. That's the infusoria. Use a dropper to feed your fry.

I am not sure if I answered your question, Journey. Was there something else you wanted to know?
