I was surprised to not see Tim McGraw or Faith Hill on the lists. They both delivered new CD's this past year and had a great tour.
I don't have anything against Carrie Underwood, but it was a pleasant surprise to see her only nominated in one category. She has risen like a bullet, but there are other artists that I feel deserve the recognition too.
Rodney Atkins was a surprise in the Male Vocalist category. He is rising fast and deserves it. Diamond Rio in the Group category seems to be a filler act, they haven't done much that I have heard.
Do you think that Sugarland is going to upset Brooks & Dunn in the Duo category like they did at the CMA's?
