I grew up with Mr. Rogers. Thanks for the reminder Vance.

It's funny how easy it is to take actors lives for granted. They kind of live on forever in re-runs making it easy to forget their passing... if that makes sense at all.

Yep - him and Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo) really helped make some happy childhood memories.

Fred Rogers was such a loving soul. His legacy lives on, though. Kids of today still watch him and sometimes, in the early morning, I catch his show and enjoy it so much.

Thanks Vance for sharing that. I have enjoyed his shows so many times with my son. It's wonderful to remember such a special person.

Did you know that he is a former Marine and his arms are covered with tatoos and is the reason he wore the long sleeve shirts on his shows?

Just a bit of useless trivia.

Really? I just heard that recently too. Funny how urban legends last so long and get travelled so well.

Apparently the rumor went from being a Navy Seal to a Marine. That is too funny.

I suppose Elvis really died too, huh? lol.

Thanks for the reminder Vance, Mister Rogers was a great part of my growing up years, and my girls still like to watch the reruns every once in a while!

Oh yes, the great urban legends. Do we ever get tired of those?

I thought the tattoo thing was true. It's not? Either way, he was a great person and left us with wonderful memories.
