Share your favorite photographs (your own, of course!) of weather phenomena in this thread! Do you have pictures of tornado damage (or the tornado itself!), hail, ice, blizzard, hurricane, flooding, or unusual clouds? Or perhaps an attractive sunrise/sunset or a gorgeous view of the moon (such as the eclipse pictures posted in that thread)? Post them here!

I'll start by posting one of my photos, featuring the sun rising through clouds and mists over the mountains in Hawaii.

Oh man, I saw the coolest lenticular clouds the other day -- but I didn't have a camera on-hand to take any shots.

In lieu of that, here's an awesome gallery I found online with some fantastic lenticular cloud photos.

(The ones I saw were a lot like the ones in the pic credited "Photo by Mount Washington Observatory.")

Anita, these are lovely. I sometimes need photos for my stories - living on the 'Wuthering Moors' I am obsessed with the weather too! I'll find sme weather stories next month. Poetry - what do you think of "The West Wind" Emily Bronte, like me, she watched the weather on the moors anxiously!

Thanks, I'm glad you like the photos! I'm not familiar with that poem, but I've read Emily's "The Night Wind" and it's one of my favorites! I like the pairing of the darkness and the seduction of the wind.

Since you mentioned the moors, I have to ask -- what exactly are they? I've always wondered!

This is not the best photo, but I think it's interesting -- a view of raindrops in the streetlight outside my door.
