What is your favorite island?

I'm a bit biased since it's nearby, but I adore Nantucket Island. I read Moby Dick every time I'm there. It is so cool to go and imagine you're back in the 1600s or 1700s with the cobblestone streets and traditional homes.

The cherry blossoms in May are just SO pretty

I have been to Nantucket (in October, when the tourist traffic has eased off and the weather is beautiful) and agree that it is well worth a visit. Chincoteague in October is nice, too.
My favorite, though, is Key West, which I just left 2 weeks ago. I cried all the way to Big Pine Key! I don't do the Duval Street scene but love the beach at Fort Zach, looking for birds on the road to Little Hamaca Park behind the airport and bicycling everywhere.

I adore the Florida Keys! For me, Key Largo is my favorite island. I like the low key, quiet atmosphere there. There is a wild bird sanctuary there that I could hang out at all day long

Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel, UK. There's about 7 residents and thousands of puffins. I love those funny waggly little birds.

Lisa, I stop at that FL Wild Bird Center every time I drive down to Key West. They do great work with injured birds and do it on a shoestring.

One of my favourite island places in Cyprus. Citrus, almond trees in bloom and so much history.

Martha's Vineyard is so beautiful. I love the town of Oak Bluffs with all of the gingerbread style homes.

Bermuda! It's one of the few places outside of the United States that I would want to live.
