Oh man, hiking in the winter is great. It's even better now that all the brown bears are in for the season.

I love that cold air in the face and the snow, etc. It wakes you up and lets you know that you are alive.

Hibernation is a great thing -- as long as we're not the ones doing it! Winter hikes definitely wake one up. It's the winter camping I'm not enamoured with -- I stay awake, cold, miserable and waiting for the morning sun so that I can get moving again!
