BellaOnline Forums Religion and Spirituality New Age anyone read Abraham-Hicks latest book?

Has anyone read The Astonishing Power of Emotions? I wondered what Abraham could have left to say about Manifesting and Emotions but there is a lot of new ideas in this book.

I liked the analogy of the Stream, which, altho not new for them, is used in kind of a new way in this book. Also, they talk about seeking relief from worrisome thoughts, rather than the "feeling better" type of thing they talked about in their last book.

Even tho I've read all their other books, I did find new insights in this one.

Thanks for the review, Laura. I have read 'Ask & It Is Given' by Abraham-hicks, and wasn't sure if this was more of the same.

It sounds like it is to a certain degree, but being one of those people that can't figure out why, no matter how hard I focus on manifesting something, I end up with the opposite.

Perhaps this book could help with this. Thanks!

I just read your review and agree. I just finished the Amazing Power of Emotions and, altho the situations they described in the second half of the book didn't really apply to me, I found it good advice to imagine life like a river and flowing downstream with it, instead of fighting the current.
