I think that those surveys and all never show a real image of the topic because they are not balenced out they lean more to one side or one way for thought. it is like asking all females do you have PMS? and throughing the quistion out to young girls who may or may not know what that is and to the women that are pregnant or in menopause. they know what it is but of course they dont have it because they dont have periods.

also asking a group of people Are you married? When do you think you will get married? what do you expect in a husband or wife? will you and your husband or wife have kids? How many kids do you want to have?

these questions abvously expect the person to want to get married and have kids and it also expects you to be hetrosexual. they want everyone in the survey to answer in a positive way or have no say at all.

lets see one that everyone takes that goes like this:

Are you married do you plan on getting married? why not?
Do you and your partner (married or not) plan on having or adopting children? why Not? Are you happy being single? Why?
are you happy being child free? Do you think you enjoy and have more sex then your married and or childed friends?

Freespirit,

I'm working on that survey with Lisa and while it asks if you have children and how you feel about being a mom, it doesn't necessarily assume every women has children, but a lot do. The purpose of the survey and hopefully the book will be to show the different sides to each issue. Honestly, after seeing a ton of those surveys from women without children, we want to do a segment on that. It actually seems to me (I look at all the surveys) that women without children rate their husbands higher and seem to be happier overall. So one finding may be that women without children are happier in their marriages than women with children. However we need another 30-40 surveys from women without children to have enough to really be able to say that. But from what I've seen, it's true.
