Have we left it too late to educate our children in the art of family nutrition?

Obesity is rife here in UK...it is a recent phenomenon to see walking marshmallows bouncing around the school areas. I am amazed at how families manage these days when homes are built with smaller and ever smaller rooms...especially the smallest room of all the downstair loo! Hardly big enough for a cat walk model to bend down let alone a 14 stone 12 year old.

We have to address this problem quickly...will 8 hours of cookery lessons given by poorly trained teachers who have taken a tag on course, because that is all they will have to fill these teaching spaces in the time they have given education authorities, be enough to bring the skills to the fore in our homes once again? 8 hours between the ages of 11-14. I don't think so...how about you, what do you feel?
