There are 3 CSI:'s : Las Vegas, NY, Miami. Which one is your favorite? And why...

Mine, all of them..

I like CSI: Las Vegas because of the amazing veterans characters. They are still great.
I like CSI: Miami because crimes also deals with money, drugs, mobs and gangs.
I like CSI: NY because crimes relates to today's trends and cultures. It's more on an urban crimes.

Funny, CSI Miami is the one that I simply can't watch! I find the star's mannerisms too annoying to get past.
CSI Las Vegas is still the best to me, although I like the actors in NY even though the story lines are pretty far out (and I'm a born New Yorker!)
Do you know that there is a CSI Caracas in South America?

I still remain loyal to the original CSI. I've tried watching the other two but just couldn't get into them or the characters. I don't find this franchise as good as the Law & Order franchise where I can watch any of them.

I like Miami first - was not a Caruso fan before, but this show I like him in. Then Las Vegas..Grissom...what can you say. NY I never quite took a liking to it. Although Gary Sinese is an awesome actor, this show...doesn't cut it for me.

I love the Vegas show, and eventually warmed up to the New York cast and story style. But Miami bugs me. The story lines always seem a bit TOO far fetched and Caruso's acting is horrendous. He's so cheesy, my fiance and I (who have a household nickname/shorthand for everything) simply refer to CSI: Miami as "Velveeta." That said, I do watch it sometimes, just to crack jokes about Caruso's acting and 'cause I'm a bit of a CSI junkie...

CSI - Las Vegas. Grissom is my fav character. I don't care for CSI-Miami. Caruso is too arrogant and doesn't come through for me.

For me, the three shows are interchangeable so it is more a matter of which actors I feel like watching. My first choice would be NY, mainly because I like Hill Harper. Las Vegas would be next, but I'm a bit bored with that cast. Miami is difficult for me to watch because Caruso's mannerisms are off-putting, as others have said.

I'll take the original.

I only watch Miami when I want to laugh (at Caruso's acting, that is).

I've never really gotten into NY (even though I do love Gary Sinise).

Nancy, I am not a Jim Carrey fan but he nailed Caruso's mannerisms in that bit! On all of the CSI shows they do that "buttoning the scene" trick, but Caruso is so obvious with it.

I have friends who talk about being "taken out" of the story by something -- meaning that something is so jarring that stop enjoying the story and focus on the mechanics of creating the show. That's what Caruso's portrayal of Horatio does for me. He always makes me stop and think, "No one talks like that in real life!"

There was a YouTube video that was just a long string of all the Miami intro "tag lines" with the YAAAAAAGGHHHHH after it - it was SO funny! Now every time we watch a Miami we think about that. Horatio pretty much always puts on his glasses during the line too.

Miami is mostly what runs on TV here so that's what we tend to watch. I like all three but we don't watch any of them "sequentially" - my boyfriend has them on in the background while he surfs in the living room so I end up hearing them as I work in my office. They all show randomly during the day so we rarely get any sense of continuity about character story arcs or such. It can be very confusing smile

Seven minutes of Horatio One Liners! You're right totally funny. Here it is if you want to relive it:

What is funny is we really don't watch it a lot but it's on right now while I work on my laptop and I've seen these episodes before. So they must just have a few that they keep circulating in rotation.

How do those police investigators have such gorgeous work environments? Do you think CSI people really work in offices like that?

The real work environments aren't nearly as photogenic! Especially in respect to dramatic lighting.

This is funny because, I watch CSI and DH doesn't. It always seems to be the same repeats because DH will walk in the room and recognize it. He always asks why the men have bullet proof vests on all the time time but the women usually don't (except Sarah).

The thing that gripes me about "Miami" is that the real CSI's in the real city of Miami DO NOT CARRY WEAPONS. I e-mailed CBS the very first season and asked why they didn't set their CSIs in a more realistic fashion, and never heard from them...Imagine that!

Now thats funny, I didn't know that BUT I also imagine the real Miami CSIs actually work in Miami. It annoys me its not filmed there for real. So often I see scenes that I know for sure aren't in South Florida. I guess alot of people wouldn't get that but since I live here I do.

I still love it though. I loved the scene where one of the guys, I think it was Delco was diving into some fresh water and Horatio stood by with a rifle just in case a gator came out. People from elsewhere probably think that was over the top but even with Horatio and a rifle I wouldn't get into fresh water here in Florida.

I love Grissom, Sara and Greg. I kinda identify with them. And it's the most creative show in terms of dealing with odd subgroups.

I enjoy Miami and Hortatio, but for totally different reasons. The campiness, the bright pretty colors, the dreamy unreality of a lot of it. Horatio and his submissive/aggressive doglike behaviors depending on whether he is dealing with victims or perps.

Don't like NY CSI. It's a cop show to me. I prefer the forensics. Give me Gil and his bugs, please!
