OP Sonya-AA Lit BellaOnline Editor Newbie S Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 23 Pennsylvania	Good morning BellaOnline! My name is Sonya and I am the new editor for the African American Literature site. I am very excited to be here. I have a lot of wonderful ideas for the site an I can't wait to get started. I'm currently in training but I thought I'd post so I can get to know some of you. Feel free to write me and introduce yourself! I'll be talking to you all very soon! Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away.

The only author I'd heard of was Walter Mosley, and I'd like to try the others, particularly the Mama series and the Theresa Galloway series. I ran across an interesting mystery this year with several black main characters including the hero: The Mongoose Deception, set in Denver CO. I don't think the author is that well-known yet, but he's got at least six books in the series.
