We moved into our home late last year and just got started with the vegetable garden in autumn. So my lettuce, pak choy, and silver beet did fantastically, but my zucchini didn't form female flowers, only males, and then got waterlogged during our wet winter and turned to mush. My tomato plants flowered but I don't think there were enough insects around to pollinate it, so no tomatoes. Slugs ate my capsicum plants before they were taller than 3 inches.
We also didn't realise that the spot we chose for our herbs would get very little sunlight during winter, so nothing came up there either. I'm propagating the herbs in my little greenhouse first this time round.
