I don't often feel taken advantage of because:

----I'm pretty good at saying no when i don't want to do something.

---When i give i do not expect something in return.

---When i do expect something, i communicate it clearly before hand.

---I know what i am about: my core/purpose/etc.

---I give people a chance, but i know there will always be some who disappoint me, and i'll simply move them out of my life. I trust in stages knowing this is the case.

This prevents many problems.

The quiz says it does not seem that people take advantage of me and I know how to say no. I have to admit that I have learned to say no thanks to my husband - he usually says "What are you thinking, you don't need to help everyone" Now, a lot of the time, I think of what he will say before I committ. Is that bad? probably.

I used to have difficulty saying no, but then I would feel stretched too thin and stressed out. When you promise less, your resources are freed up to deliver more when YOU feel like it! It really works out better all around.

I am very fortunate to have family and friends that would never put me in that situation. As for outsiders i have learned to to say no should the situation call for a no. it took me many years to do so. but now it comes easier.
