Hello! I am new to kefir but I bought some grains not long ago after really researching all the benifits to it. I was wondering if anyone can tell me why it's not sold here in the USA more? I have talked with people all around the world and it seems it's sold just about every where else. You can get it here but it's not sold in stores (I had to order it online from another lady who owned goats. I am glad I did. I am very happy with my grains but still I wonder why we can't get it like say at Krogers.) For those of you who don't know what kefir is there are some great articles on it online. I also did a small post on my blog about it here BellaOnline ALERT: Raw URLs are not allowed in these forums for security reasons. Please use UBB code. We have a local brew here made from sorghum and sugar. The amount of sugar and length of fermintation determines the amount of alcohol produced. It is called Kaffir Beer. It is somewhat sour, and very nutritious.
