Hi silbermoon <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Do you have one of the "shadow" pictures online that you can share? I'm not sure what you mean, but if you're able to show us what the problem is I bet someone here can help you out.

If you have a link to post, or the picture itself to display, you can put that up in the forum so people can check it out and leave tips or advice for you.

Thanks! <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Most likely, it's because you have on-camera flash that is being directed at one area. To prevent that shadow, you need back light. For a quick and simple (though obviously not perfect) backlight, have the person stand with a lamp turned on behind him, above his head so that the light hits the hair or top of head. However, make sure the light itself is not in the photo. What you're doing is helping provide a more even light, so the subject is lighted from both front and back.

If you can move the subject away from the wall you will lessen the the shadow or remove completely also if you are using digital you can remove it with software. the only other answer is more light or a head light. bluefish
