I agree. I've never understood the fascination with the "new car" smell, that's just the VOC's from the plastics off-gassing!

there is a big market for organics or the companies wouldn't be producing them.

I agree organic cleaning products or a little white vinegar and baking soda are much better.

What kind of organic cleaning products have you used? I got some from Watkins that I like.

I use Ecover and Method, sometimes Mrs. Meyers. I really like Method plus they are a local company for me (San Francisco).

You are so right about the wonders of white vinegar and baking soda. They can treat a variety of problems smile!

I've never looked back since trying microfibre cloths and plain cold water. It cleans better than chemicals with less scrubbing, and no need to rinse (so you save water too) - what more could I want? Tea tree oil and lavender are awesome disinfectants, and I believe lemon juice is too.

I've used tea tree oil too and love it. Lavender is a good sleep inducer also.

Thanks for the tips about Method. Maybe Whole Foods Market has that or something I could try.
