Welcome! I'd like to introduce myself - I'm Valerie, and I'm the new Quilting Editor for BellaOnline.

I've been quilting for a few years now, and boy is it ever addictive. smile I would say quilting is the one hobby I've stuck with the longest, know the most about, yet there is still much more to learn! That's part of why I love to quilt so much. I get bored doing the same thing over and over, and it seems like quilts provide a really broad range for creativity.

I hope to hear from many of you soon, learn your interests, your quilting tips, and hopefully share some of mine with you as well!

Hi Valerie,

Welcome! I too am a keen quilter. Not much talent, but it is a good stress reliever.

I have two quilts on the go at the moment, but they have been pushed aside as I have broken my arm, just two weeks ago.

I look forward to hearing about your projects.

Hi Laura, so nice to meet you!

I agree, quilting is a wonderful stress reliever - and I bet you are more talented than you give yourself credit.

I'm very sorry to hear about your arm! How did you break it? I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't quilt!

I look forward to hearing about your projects as well, what types of things do you enjoy making?

Hi Valerie. Thanks for saying G'day

I broke my arm when I slipped down my stairs.

I do love making quilts. I also love making bags. I love to play with patchwork and applique. I love flowers, pinks, and greens, and this is incorporated into the majority of what I do.

Hope your arm is healing, must've been a nasty fall!

I've been impressed with the bags and totes quilters have been making lately as well. So many cute possibilites!

I also love applique. I love pink and green as well though I tend to gravitate towards dark colors - I like warm, country, primitive style quilts. smile

Well, looking forward to hearing more from you and others who might be lurking about! smile
