Hello all,

This is my first posting here on Bella. I came across the site on a "google" search for love novels. I am in the mood for some really great reads that involve "love"....I know, I know, it's just what mood I'm in after watching the movie "pride and prejudice"...the last book I read was "Infidel" by Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Thanks so much!

I'm not sure if this is what you're in the modd for, but the last book I read was "The Rescue" by Nicholas Sparks. He wrote "The Notebook," "A Walk to Remember," "Messgae in a bottle," and countless others. All of his books deal with love and the obstacles in the path.

I think first I have to ask what exactly do you mean by 'love novel'? Are you looking for a story that is just about the hero and heroine and their romance, or are you looking for a story that happens to have a romantic element to it? Not all 'love stories' are romances, you know. <g>

Good point Elizabeth.

I didn't look at that angle of it. I would say a romantic element to it. That's what I'm looking for.

Katherine by Anya Seton was always one of my favorite love stories. It's loosely based in history, set in medieval England.

Probably one of the first historical romance novels.

Thank you, I just searched on Amazon and will be reading it soon. I am a recent medieval enthusiast. Great combination.
