Anyone know of a weekend retreat for women 50+ who want to experience the cowgirl life? This lifestyle is what I have dreamed of all my life; I am at a crossroads now and would love to move to the mid west to live and work. Thanks for any info.

I came across an interesting site called The Cowgirl Consultant while researching some things for a friend who is moving to Texas.

While you are not looking for consulting services, you could try contacting Joanne Sorenson owner of The Cowgirl Consultant. She may be able to recommend a retreat for you...

The National Cowgirl Museum in Fort Worth sponsors Cowgirl U. You learn roping, riding, herding from some members of the Cowgirl Hall of Fame. They have events throughout the year and in different parts of the United States.

You can check them out at Cowgirl U

Thank you both for the response - I'll do some research on both suggestions.
