In researching my latest article for the JavaScript / Java site, I read about a bunch of really interesting things that people are using random numbers for - for instance, a locksmith who generated a large random sequence to make sure that he NEVER rekeys locks for two different customers to use the same key, digital art formed by the use of random numbers, and musicians who use random number generators to pick exercises out of their practice books.

Lately, I've been experimenting with using random numbers combined with word lists to make random haiku. However, I have to say that my favorite use of random numbers has to be the Java Yahtzee game on my laptop!

What's your favorite use of random numbers?

Encrypting love letters sounds the most interesting, but having a secret lover usually gets messy, so I picked keying locks because I just thought that was interesting.
