Just wondering, after a particularly sick week around here with my family...how many out there buy travel insurance? We had planned to go away this past weekend but never got around to booking anything, if we had we would have had to cancel...without travel insurance.

I don't particular think travel insurance is really necessary and it is more money for the big airlines. However on the other hand you never know when it will be useful, so I say have it for the heck of it.

When it was just me and the hubby, no. But now that we've two kids in the mix, absolutely! At least, as long as the "insurance" covers if you have to delay or rearrange a trip because of illness or injury. Nothing like emergency surgery to mess up a trip schedule.
