I know there are so many different lovebirds but I can't find pictures of these in any of my books. The two in the cage just weaned 2 babies (I'm hand-feeding) and the one outside the cage is one I acquired from a friend and was told he is a 'Slate'. He looks like the breeder pair to me. The area just above the beak turns to a cream or off-white color. Your input is really appreciated!!!!

Hi Janet

There are so many colour variations of the Peach Faced Lovebird that I've lost track since I don't breed any longer.

You're more apt to find pictures online than in a book just because of sheer number of slight changes in colour that are constantly occuring.

It does look like the babies are going to look just like the older one you have.

My newest little guy is a pied in the grey tones, but he has a little more colour on the top of his head. I'll take a picture after I get home from work since I have to leave before the lights come on this morning. I have no idea what his colour is called either

Here is my little Bubbles. He's obviously not on the same colour tones as your birds are, but he's something different for me.

You're welcome, Janet!

Were you able to find pictures and a name to identify your bird? When I looked, I kept becoming confused trying to remember the details of your bird.

Trish
