I'm looking for suggestions for books related to islands, island travel to add to my list for review. Any suggestions? Currently reading "Islands of Fate" by Fred Bruemmer.

Cheers,
Megan

I really enjoyed "In a sunburned country" by Bill Bryson. It's about Australia, which I guess is technically an island?

Thanks for the suggestion Kimberly, I too enjoy Bill Bryson's writing. As for Australia being an island, check out the "defining an island" discussion in the forum!

Hello all,

I'm in the process of deciding on the next book to choose for review, has anyone picked up a copy of "Unforgettable Islands to Escape to Before You Die" by Steve Davey and Marc Scholssman (Firefly Books, Apr 07)? If so, what do you think about it? If not, are you reading (or have recently read) any other good books on the "island" theme?

Thanks!

Hi Megan,

I've just finished, though not done the review yet, Peter Kerr's latest. From Paella to Porridge.

His family moved from Scotland to Mallorca, this is his 7th book, about returning to Scotland, I know it's the wrong order but I did enjoy the book so have to go and read the earlier ones now!

I have also recently read more ketcup than salsa another new life book, rather sad I thought, this review is up here

From Paella to Porridge -- what a wonderful title! That alone would convince me to pick up the book. Thanks for sharing (and can't wait to read the review).

Cheers,
Megan
