I read somewhere that you can make your own rearing food for finches, any ideas for recipes?

Rearing like your trying to hand raise them?

i just read somewhere that you should give your finches rearing food as well as normal seed for the first week or so after they hatch.

If you feed the parent finches a good healthy diet, they will feed that to their babies & they will be fine. When the babies start hatching I usually add a dry egg mixture in a separate dish. The one I get is called CeeDee, but there are several different brands available. Other than that, I just increase the available food for the parents.
