The cities are rapidly expanding in India. they are taking over forest land and once in fifteen days, we have a case of a jaguar getting found in the city in search of food. Whose fault? Human s will one day remove all the animals from the earth.

We need to learn how to live with animals better. Where I grew up (and am now living again) in a suburb of nairobi - animals were/ are a regular feature.

We have resident monkeys, porcupines, mongese not to mention the myriads of birds. There used to be a leopard who whenever she was pregnant (every few years until she died) would eat local dogs (they make for easy targets).

There are less animals now - when i go riding i rarely bump into giraffes - nairobi has expanded and the animals are increasingly confined to the national park - though having said that nairobi is the ONLY city in the world with a national park within its borders.

if as you predict we remove all the animals from the planet - we too shall die. we are not seperate from nature and the sooner we truly understand that - the better.

The problem with predators like leopards is that they are following their instincts. Since humans are more vulnerable than their usual prey, leopards often prefer to hunt humans especially in India. My heart goes out to those families who have lost family members to these animals.

I cannot speak for leopards in Inida but that doesn't hold true for leopards in Kenya. They very very rarely attack humans being (quite rightly) very wary of them and naturally shy.

Actually my uncle has encountered leopards on more than one occasion and they are happy to run away if you show the slightest bit of aggression.

Man is most often the animal that kills with no reason.

i agree entirely - ours is not the only species that deserves an adequate environment.

Yes. We are brutes. Let me tell you about tigers in India. Chinese think that testicles of Tigers can be used as an aphrodisciac. So many poachers in India are killing tigers to sell to Chinese. One of the national parks is left with no tiger. Is that not sad?

Yes, it is sad. A lot of animals have become extinct because of us humans. We should try our best to preserve the animals that are endangered.

Protecting animals especially the endangered ones can be very difficult. Poachers are often poor people who have turned to poaching in order to earn money. They go after endangered animals because they are more sought after in the market.
