Today, I was delighted to find a CD of Tango music, on a discount table at the Vermont Country Store. It was marked down to $4.99. Every Yankee loves a bargain, and that includes me.
I had never seen the Tango danced before last fall when there was a (free) concert/dance presentation by professionals from Argentina. This was held at the wonderful Capital Center for the Arts in Concord, New Hampshire.
I felt especially connected to the music and was so happy to have heard at least one of the songs before. During the 1960s, my father played "La Cumparsita" on his clarinet.
The dancing was extraordinary at the event, and I felt culturally-enriched after having attended it. I will be eager to listen to the new CD.
