I purchased a pattern for a choker and I don't have any of these seed beads it calls for. Some of them only require a few beads. I have looked at buying the beads online (as that is the only way I could get the beads around here) but don't want to buy a whole lot of them if I only require 6 beads of a couple of the colors. Does anyone know where I can buy small quantites of seed beads? Thanks...Connie

Could you use your own color sense and substitute beads you have? I have seen as little as 1/10th of a gram sold (I think), but that's still quite a few seed beads. I've never seen less than an inch x inch tiny plastic bag sold.

I probably could...I was just hoping maybe someone would post with a place to purchase small quantites!

Hi
Try Painters Beads. I highly recomend her, best prices and the most honest person I have delt with. I trust her so much if I have money left over in my budget I tell her to surprise me and its like Christmas when I get my order. http://www.paintersartgallery.com/Joans/index.html

I'm wondering what you used for a stringing thread. In general, you have to be careful about stringing bugle beads one after another because they tend to have sharp edges that can cut threads. Many beaders always try to use round seed beads in between bugles. You might want to consider this if you have trouble with the chain breaking and need to restring.

I used nymo. I made this for my friend and she will just be hanging it up (for decoration) and not wearing it.

BTW, This was my first project with bead weaving...it was very frustrating at first but once I got started I was fine.

It's very nice indeed for your first project. After I posted my last post, I remembered that I had forgotten to say this. The balance of the colors and sizes used for the strung part is particularly nice.
