Just want to say hi to all the music fans out there. What are you into?
I'm definitely really into all types of music, but I especially love jazzy, bluesy singers like Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and Sade. I actually just got a new CD from a similar artist named Kellylee Evans. Has anyone else heard of her? The CD I was given is called "Fight or Flight" and it is just fabulous!

Anyway, i also found a myspace page here: www.myspace.com/kellylleevans in case you're interested.

Know of any similar artists I should listen to?

Thanks!

If you like Jazz, I'm a big Diana Krall fan - her stuff is great. Not that risky, but fun.

I adore jazz, especially songbirds like Billie Holiday. As of late I've been listening to Madeleine Peyroux, Feist, Cocorosie, and most recently Muzycoterapia. Give them a listen <img src="/images/graemlins/music.gif" alt="" /> and let me know what you think!

Wow those are great recommendations! I love Billie Holiday and Diana Krall. Does anyone listen to Marilyn Scott? She's my new favorite. Her myspace is here if you're interested - www.myspace.com/marilynscottmusic.

Hi all Jazz lovers...lady singers is the topic so I'm going back in time when I saw and heard the best "scat" singer around. The one and only ELLA FITZGERALD. She could stop a clock, stop you from breathing, she was a totally wrapped package. The next lady singer to me who is so SMOOTH...NANCY WILSON, you might know her from the song she recorded many years ago "Satin Doll". Her old recordings are still easy on the ears today. I appreciate the new singers and listen to them but I'm thankful I was around when ELLA and NANCY were high on the Jazz charts. Thanks for listening! Jazzy Geri
