Not being in the USA, I've not seen anything like this. I'll see what I can dig up, and perhaps others have some suggestions too.

I have a few "American Heritage: Celebrate Your State!" charts from Creative Keepsakes (Betty Haddad Shelton), each of these are a state outline, with the state flag, bird, flower and other key symbols. As far as I can tell the company appears to be out of business (phone numbers don't work), although there are some charts on ebay. I might be willing to sell my charts, as I doubt I'll ever stitch them - I have Arizona, California, and Oregon (unopened) and a slightly used Utah chart.

One of my goals for this year is to start designing embroidery patterns and in particular a pair based on some WPA woodcarvings at the state library of the Oregon state bird and plant. When I do, they will be on my (new) website Orange Rug Yarn Stitchery

If you go to the NetState page for Washington's State Flower there are all sorts of state flower and bird references, including a book of state flower cross-stitch charts.

Creative Keepsakes is, indeed, out of business, and second hand charts from them do seem to be difficult to come by.

Another option you can use is to find the State Flower and bird, and use a stitching program to convert a picture of them into a chart.

Go to Embroidery library. They have thousands of designs and are extremely helpful. Also there designs are cheap, but they are for machine embroidery.
Just search on the net, it may take a little time as there millions of designs out there, but I bet it is there, whatever design you want.
