YIKES! I heard on TV that the USA is expecting its numbers to increase to 300 MILLION soon! It estimated that a baby is born every 11 SECONDS in this country! I still don't understand WHY people worry about CFs not having kids! We have more than enough people pro-creating in this country!

I had to do a double take there too. If we had 300 billion people in the US, we would have a larger population than China. The world doesn't even have that many people.

But still, the world is overpopulated as it is, and I'm sick of people telling me that -I- will be the downfall of humanity if I refuse to breed. Thanks for giving me that much power, idiots. <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I'm still of the opinion that most of the big problems in the world--unemployment, hunger, environmental problems, etc.--could be at least partly solved by people not breeding so d*a*m*n much....I mean, too many people and not enough jobs; people continuing to have kids even though they can't afford the ones they have, and so overpopulation (although I have a bit more sympathy for people in 3rd-world countries because they don't always have much of a choice, but in the 1st world? No excuse); too many people creating pollution and cutting down yet more of nature to build subdivisions, etc....

I hated being a kid. It was NOT fun - mostly due to other children's bullying and meanness. Why anyone would want to bring a child into the world and put them through childhood is beyond me.
There are enough children already born who need a good home... why don't we put more effort into making the already existing children happy, clothed and fed, and stop just pumping out new ones??

I totally agree with you on all of that. Childhood was absolute hell. I'd die before I'd have to go through it again. And it also gets me on the "children lovers" who have six children when they could've adopted. If you really loved children, don't you think you'd be saving them? Seriously, people!
