I paid US $2.08/gallon for regular today. So far, gas prices where I am have fallen 22 percent this week alone!

What's up with that?

What are prices like where you are?

Right now our gas prices are:
Unl: 2.04
Plus: 2.14
Prem: 2.24

My vehicle has a Turbo engine and I can only put premium gas in it so I am thrilled to see the prices going down.

Maybe gas prices are falling because the congressional elections are coming up soon and the oil billionaires (republicans) see their hold on the electorate slipping, so they 'arranged' to have prices fall. Could it be???

Give me a little money for the campaign fund and while you're at it, could you fix the gas prices?

Why not.

Since we're stationed overseas, we're at the mercy of the base exchange gas station, which claims that their gas prices are equal to the national average.

Right now, their gas prices are much much higher than the national average. I think we're still paying over $3 per gallon. But we have no choice, because off base, gas is about $6 per gallon or so.

They certainly have no problem raising gas prices right away to meet the national average when it's high, but they are taking their sweet time in lowering it.
