I took a workshop with a professional drummer and dancer about the different rhytms. I'm an experienced dancer, but, this is an area I need to work on: hearing and recognizing the chifte telli, masmoodi, saidi, etc.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a CD I could purchase that had songs labeled with the type of rhythm they are, and maybe even just isolated rhythms? That way I can practice isolations and learn how to recognize the different ones.
