Doing research on the chocolate-tomato connection has me curious. I'd love to hear unexpected combinations of chocolate and other foods. Not just random ickiness, but blends you wouldn't think would work -- but they do. Sweet or savory, the odder the better.
For instance -- I just picked up a recipe from a health food store for chocolate-zucchini bread. I guess as long as the zucchini's fresh and recently picked, its taste is kind of "invisible" and it will just lend moisture to whatever it's mixed in with. Still sounds kind of weird, but not having tried it, who am I to judge?
I also just read of a woman who is very healthy and, when she has cravings for something sweet, sprinkles mini chocolate chips on her oatmeal. Which sounds pretty good, come to think of it. Um, do I have to wait until it's actually morning to have breakfast?
